Coal Water Slurry Burner is used to atomize the coal-water slurry (composed of 40% water & 60% coal powder) under the condition of high pressure and pure oxygen, and then deliver to the high pressured gasifier for violent reaction to product syngas containing H2 & CO.
Burning damage at the end surface and abrasion of nozzle are always a big problem to affect its service.
The Coal Water Slurry Burner developed by SMDERI has been improved on the cooling system, where the original coil structure is replaced by forced spinning cooling system, so that the cooling effect is fundamentally improved. Moreover, a new type of high temperature alloy steel is applied and the abrasion resistant material is coated on the easy abrasion part of the nozzle, so that its ability against high temperature corrosion and abrasion has been greatly improved.
The Coal Water Slurry Burner can be widely used for all types of TEXACO gasifier and 4-burner coal-water slurry gasifier.

The methanol plant of Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group Co. Ltd. has three sets of 1960t/d multi-nozzle CWS gasifier. Each is provided with four CWS gasification burner. From July 2013, the R&D center of Shenhua Ningxia Coal and our burner project department cooperate with each other to develop a new gasifier burner. Through continuous optimization, the lifespan of the CWS burnder is significantly improved and achieves the desired results.
Through this project, SMDERI has greatly improved the R&D capability in the burner development, accumulated experience and enhanced our position and influence in the industry.
