The imported atomizers are easily worn out, difficult to disassemble and have poor performances in the long-term use. The localized atomizers developed by SMDERI have successfully resolved the clogging and disassembly issues through numerous site verification. The material is evenly distributed and the bed temperature is precisely controlled, assuring a stable operation. Now the product has been purchased in great amount by Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group.

Methanol to propylene (MTP) process is a patent technology of German Lurgi Company to produce polymer grade propylene using methanol as the raw materials and also produce ethylene, LPG and gasoline as by-products. This technology of coal chemical industry is a new process in the late syngas conversion for new products and has a potential of a large market.
According to the MTP process requirements, the main reactor has two running MTP sets and one spare system, where each MTP set requires 330 atomizers in total. So in total 990 atomizers are required in a complete process. Considering the annual maintenance and replacement as well, there’s a huge market capacity.
The localized MTP atomizers developed by SMDERI have solved the issues of clogging, wearing, difficult dissembling and uneven fogging. We have also solved the problem of broken bellows on the distributer.
The successful completion of Shenhua Ningxia Coal MTP atomizer project by SMDERI has made our first shot to enter the coal-chemical process market. At the same time of making a breakthrough in the market and creating economic profits for the company, the products are also well received by our customers.
